Small stories for big people

How do you convince a group of serious adults to tell stories in a lesson? You can tell them that storytelling is excellent language practice, when they can contextualise all focus language, develop their writing or speaking skills… Or you can quote this article by Alison Davis which recommends using simple stories at work “to get people’s attention, involve them emotionally and help them remember the content you’re trying to convey”. And for those who say they don’t have enough imagination, here is a story-making tool from Marisa Constantinides: their stories will pretty much write themselves.
